Yoga Sol Kids Spring, 2019 Registration

Young Budding Yogis (co-ed) 

Ages 3-5-  Saturdays 11:30am-12:15pm 5/4-6/15 with Rene Biemer CYT Little Flower Yoga, 7 classes, $160.

Ages 4-6 Tuesdays 4:45-5:30pm 4/30- 6/11 with Rajni Wint CYT Little Flower Yoga, 7 classes, $160.

These classes offer a balanced yoga class that meet the playful and exploratory needs of a 3-6 year old. Focus will be on strength, balance and flexibility, as well as mindfulness and breath techniques–tools for self-regulation that foster an understanding of how body and mind are connected and nurture a positive self-image. 

Budding Yogis
 (Yoga and Mindfulness for ages 7-9, co-ed) 

Tuesdays, 4-4:45pm, 4/29- 6/10 (no class 5/27) with Rajni Wint, CYT,  Little Flower Yoga, 6 classes $140.

This fun and playful class will encourage your child’s self-expression as well as building social skills. They will develop body awareness through basic yoga poses and acquire the tools for self-regulation and centering through mindfulness techniques. Kids play games, create art projects and practice yoga in a safe and compassionate environment.

Young Warriors 
(Tween Yoga and Mindfulness for Girls ages 10-14)

Thursdays with Kristy Cohen, CYT Little Flower Yoga 3:30-4:30pm 5/2-6/13, 7 classes $160. CLASS IS FULL

Fridays with Rene Biemer, CYT Little Flower Yoga 4:15-5:15pm 5/3-6/14, 7 classes $160.

Participating in a regular mindfulness and yoga practice can help pre- and early teens to become more resilient in the face of stress and anxiety that is  so prevalent in our culture today. Our classes help teens to explore who they are, what matters to them and provide a positive lens through which they can view themselves and their bodies. Mindfulness practices help students explore healthy ways of responding to stress, anxiety, changing bodies, expectations, boundaries and teaches them tools for self-regulation.

Tween yoga classes will offer tools to guide students in self exploration, provide ways to handle the challenges facing this transitional time from child to teenager.


** PLEASE NOTE: Drop-in Baby and Me (with Alice Jung) will return the May 2nd, NOW ON THURSDAYS from 12-1pm. **

Mommy and Me (newborn- crawler) 

On-going class, no registration necessary- Mondays 2-3pm with Alice Jung, $20 drop-inMoms come together in a supportive environments for both themselves and their babies. Poses are focused around the changes taking place postpartum. The babies love the interactive poses with their moms and the start of early socialization with the other babies.

Young Budding Yogis (Yoga and Mindfulness for ages 4-6, co-ed) 

Wednesdays 3:30-4:15pm 11/7-12/12 / Saturdays 11-11:45am 11/3-12/15 (no class 11/24)

Introduction to Meditation and Relaxation (Meditation and Relaxation for ages 9-14, co-ed- not a movement class)

Wednesdays, 3:30-4:15pm 6 classes 9/26- 10/31, with Kristy Cohen CYT- Little Flower Yoga, $130

  This class will introduce students to basic meditation and relaxation techniques that promote coping skills and nurture a connection to their own inner calm. Those who have experience with yoga, are interested in meditation and relaxation and can sit with eyes closed for up to 5 minutes are best suited for this class. Please note this is not a movement class, simple floor poses will be practiced.

Budding Yogis (Yoga and Mindfulness for ages 7-9, co-ed) 

Mondays, 3:30-4:15pm, 12 classes, 9/17- 12/17 (no class 10/8, 11/12)

with Erin Trapasso RCYT, RYT- Little Flower Yoga, $250

Join Erin Trapasso, a certified kids yoga teacher and NYS certified elementary classroom teacher in a program designed to help your child become the best version of him/herself. This fun and playful class will encourage your child’s self-expression as well as building social skills. Tween stress is becoming more widely understood and common. Participating in a yoga practice can help teens relieve this stress, explore who they are, and provide a positive influence of themselves and their bodies for the rest of their lives. 

Tween yoga classes will offer tools to guide students in self exploration, provide ways to handle stress, anger, anxiety, depression and other challenges facing this transitional time from child to teenager.

Yoga for Athletic Balance- Time for your body to recover, your mind to rest and for you to really allow the benefits of exercise to soak in, helping to prevent injuries and aid in recovery. A class intended for stretching and lengthening.  

Running, tennis, biking,team-sports or avid gym-goers-improve overall focus, flexibility and balance to enhance overall athletic performance.

 Aligned Flow and Ropes
w/ Kristen Woods
Tuesdays 7:45-9pm (starting 6/19)
Fine tune your alignment through the creative use of the rope wall and other props. By learning specific actions through these helpful tools, you will be able to access a new level of awareness and depth in your practice. You will then take this new found understanding with you into some breath-linked movement for a complete experience! 

​Through steady and progressive sequencing, clear and precise cuing, and anatomical and energetic awareness, Kristen’s classes combine strength and ease while moving with intention and fluidity. Her teaching is most notably influenced by her time studying and practicing with Alison West of Yoga Union in NYC (300TT and 100-hr Comprehensive Yoga for Backcare and Scoliosis Certification) and Amy Matthews (Embodied Anatomy & Kinesiology: Bones & Ligaments course). A practitioner since 2005 and a student of many teachers, Kristen enjoys weaving elements of vinyasa and alignment together to show how each style can complement the other in a enlivening and dynamic way. “She combines empathy and precision, humor and extensive understanding of the body.” –  R.Z.
