Young Budding Yogis (Yoga and Mindfulness for ages 4-6, co-ed)
with Erin Trapasso, CYT Little Flower Yoga
Mondays 3:30-4:15pm, 8 classes- April 9- May 28
This fun and playful class will encourage your child’s self-expression as well as building social skills. They will develop body awareness through basic yoga poses and acquire the tools for self-regulation and centering through mindfulness techniques. Kids sing, draw and practice yoga in a safe and compassionate environment.
Stress and Anxiety Busting for Kids (Yoga and Mindfulness for ages 7-10, co-ed)
Wednesdays, 3:30-4:15pm 5 classes, April 11- May 9
Budding Yogis (Yoga and Mindfulness for ages 7-10, co-ed)
Fridays, 4-5pm 8 classes, April 13- June 18
both classes with Kristy Cohen CYT- Little Flower Yoga
These classes offer a balanced yoga class that meets the needs of both boys and girls as their bodies are changing and growing quickly. Focus will be on strength, balance and flexibility, as well as mindfulness and breathing techniques- tools for self-regulation. The class will foster and understanding of how body and mind are connected and nurture a positive self-image.
Young Warriors (Tween Yoga and Mindfulness for Girls, ages 10-14)
Tuesdays (4/24-6/12) (Thursdays class is FULL) (4/26-6/14), 4:30- 5:30pm
8 classes each, with Cathy Anfiteatro, RYT
Tween stress is becoming more widely understood and common. Participating in a yoga practice can help teens relieve this stress, explore who they are, and provide a positive influence of themselves and their bodies for the rest of their lives. Tween yoga classes will offer tools to guide students in self exploration, provide ways to handle stress, anger, anxiety, depression and other challenges facing this transitional time from child to teenager.
