Friday Night 80’s Vinyasa Class to celebrate our anniversary, FREE, 9/30 7:30-8:30pm

In celebration of our anniversary we are having a FREE Vinyasa class set 80’s music this Friday night 9/30,
7:30-8:45pm

unknown-3Be prepared to have FUN as we play some nostalgic tunes and get into our friday night birthday yoga groove. Although this is an all-level class, some prior yoga practice is recommended.

The class is FREE and any donations will go to
the Yoga Sol Scholarship fund
(which help our yoga classes to be accessible to everyone).

Yoga Sol Kids Fall Class Registration is ON!

MOMMY AND ME  (NEWBORN- CRAWLER) Begins 9/12

Mondays, 1-2 pm with Ali Alvarez 

On-going class, no registration necessary-
$20 drop-in

Moms come together in a supportive environments for both themselves and their babies. Poses are focused around the changes taking place postpartum. The babies love the interactive poses with their moms and the start of early socialization with the other babies.

TEEN YOGA (CO-ED, 14-18) Begins 9/23

Fridays, 5:15-6:00pm with Kristy Cohen (no class 11/11, 11/25) 11 classes- $200.  

A balanced yoga class that meets the needs of both boys and girls as their bodies change and mature. The focus is on feeling good in your body and understanding how that leads to feeling good about yourself in every way. We will work on strength, balance and flexibility while learning important tools to help reduce stress, anxiety and emotional instability through breathing, mantra and meditation.

Tween stress is becoming more widely understood and common. Participating in a yoga practice can help teens relieve this stress, explore who they are, and provide a positive influence of themselves and their bodies for the rest of their lives. Tween yoga classes will offer tools to guide students in self exploration, provide ways to handle stress, anger, anxiety, depression and other challenges facing this transitional time from child to teenager.

A fun and challenging yoga class that meets tween boys right where they are. Laughter and energy are highly encouraged! The focus is on feeling good in your body and understanding how that leads to feeling good about yourself in every way. The boys build strength, balance and flexibility while they learn breathing and stillness techniques to help calm the senses.

In this class we will briefly reflect on the current Cosmic energies available and how we can connect and use our time to best align our desires.

Yin is synonymous with the words passive, feminine, soft, yielding and surrender, and this is exactly what will be asked of you on the mat. Yin is similar to Restorative Yoga, in that all poses are seated or reclined, but the poses are held for longer periods, typically five-ten minutes, and a soft edge is where we begin each pose. From there we use the breath to deepen the pose and quiet the mind. This approach nourishes the joints, tendons and connective tissue in the physical body, while we connect mind and soul with our higher cosmic self.

Yin is simply a mind-body meditation, a mindful dance between stillness and movement.

Everyday Strategies for More Joy and Less Anxiety

Join Little Flower Yoga Founder and Author Jennifer Cohen Harper for this workshop designed to give you simple strategies for sharing mindfulness and yoga with your children. We live in a challenging and intensely stimulating world. Whether your child is dealing with anxiety, having a hard time sleeping, struggling to maintain focus, or just could use some self-care and improved overall wellness, these tools can help.

Come dressed for gentle movement, and with your kids ages 4-12 years old in mind. This workshop is for adults only, but we hope to see your children sometime soon!

Jennifer’s wonderful Book, “Little Flower-Yoga for Kids” will be available for purchase at a discounted price for the event.

This workshop will be full of new valuable information, ideas and exercises whether or not you attended Jennifer’s workshop last year.
