“There is a vitality, a life force, an energy, a quickening that is translated through you into action, and because there is only one of you in all of time, this expression is unique. And if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium and it will be lost. The world will not have it. It is not your business to determine how good it is nor how valuable nor how it compares with other expressions. It is your business to keep it yours clearly and directly, to keep the channel open.” Martha Graham
At Yoga Sol we believe that everyone, no matter what limitations, is able to practice and benefit from yoga.
Our community studio welcomes yogis of all ages, shapes and sizes. Our instructors come from many different teaching styles, yoga lineages and backgrounds. The studio was created to provide yoga to OUR community in an inclusive and accessible way.
The Yoga Sol symbol is a Enso– often defined as an expression of “the moment where the mind allows the body to create.” Similar to practicing yoga, the process of Enso painting in Japan is meditative and effective at allowing creativity to flow- by focusing energy on the work of the body in order to calm the mind. Most Ensos are broken circles representing the absence of perfection or complete symmetry in everything.
Through our yoga practice, we learn to accept whatever imbalances we have, and in turn reach a new sense of stability, balance and harmony.
